Belly Pictures!

Here are some belly pictures of me, if anyone would like to see. Pregnancy was a grand adventure - with everything from nausea in the evenings and heartburn to lots of fatigue and waddling as our little boy grew bigger and stronger each day. One of the best parts was feeling and seeing him move around. He always liked to stick his foot under mys ribs, and sometimes he kicked so hard that I would jump and Ryan would laugh at me.Overall I had a fair experience and can't really complain. :)

Everyone always wants to know about those weird pregnancy cravings, which I did have a few. The most memorable was a day where I just HAD to have some hot dogs - so I bought some very fine quality hot dogs (if there is such a thing) and buns on my way home from work. I ate two for lunch, two for dinner and then felt sick that evening and was unable to think about or look at hot dogs, much less smell them, for the next few months. Ick!

The Hawk of Awesomeness

Still figuring out this whole "blogging" thing. It will be a good project for when our son comes to meet us, perhaps.

For now, please enjoy some pictures of a Hawk (I think) that landed on our back deck and began ripping apart the dead sparrow it held in it's claws...! Pretty gruesome, but appropriate for the Halloween season. :)

Glaring over its captured prey

Active Ripping Motion

If you look close you can see the piece of sparrow fluff he flung away

See how it stares at you?
You can also see bits of sparrow fluff on the deck...

Fall Colors

We went to look at fall leaves up Little Cottonwood Canyon. :) We try to make it up some of our canyons every year to look at the beautiful colors of awesomeness. Ryan has been growing a beard lately for Halloween, so he is a bit scruffy in the above picture.
